Immunity and Infection Masterclass | Copenhagen
In-person event | Training conducted in English
This masterclass aims to equip functional medicine practitioners with a deep understanding of immune system dynamics, specifically linking innate/adaptive immunity fundamentals to Lyme disease immunopathology and recovery strategies.
It bridges immune biochemistry - covering pattern recognition, cytokine signalling, T/B cell responses and the gut-immune axis - with practical clinical tools like testing, nutritional modulation and microbiome support to address chronic inflammation and post-Lyme resilience.
Key Outcome:
Lyme disease (Lyme borreliosis) remains Europe's most common tick-borne illness, with incidence rising. By attending this masterclass practitioners can gain actionable insights to assess immune dysregulation, differentiate infection mimics, and implement targeted interventions that optimise host responses rather than just targeting pathogens.
Our educator:

Kerry Fugard BSc Dip. Clinical Nutrition
Kerry has had a lifelong interest in the powers of nutritional medicine and began her career over 20 years ago as a counsellor and clinical nutritionist focusing on neurodevelopment and mental health. She later enhanced her knowledge and practice with an honours degree in functional medicine and personalised nutrition. Kerry has since spent 12 years working in functional medicine, both in private practice and as an educator. Her key interests include microbiome analysis, disorders of the gut-brain axis and the growing field of psychoneuroimmunology (PNI).
